Iranian solution to stock exchange problems

Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has suggested that the solution to Iran's stock exchange problems is to hang some people. He told his financial ministers "If we were permitted to hang two or three persons, the problems with the stock exchange would be solved for ever”.

Capital is fleeing Iran. The Iranian stock market has plunged 20% in the last four months. Threatening to kill people for investing in Iran is not the way to attract the capital needed to grow the economy. Iran's population is booming. The vast majority of the citizens are under the age of 30. Without the capital needed for business to grow, how are these people going to get jobs? You need both labor AND capital, Bozo.

Sad. On this path, Iran is going to become another Pakistan or Bangladesh, full of angry, dirt poor, unemployed people. A handful of well-connected familes will become rich. Everyone else will starve.
